Hey consumers, we’ve got a new one for you. It’s called Dark Scrolls, and it’s coming soon to PC and Nintendo Switch from the deeply unwell minds at doinksoft (Gato Roboto, Gunbrella, Demon Throttle).
This is a dungeon crawler, sure. But it’s also a shmup. And a roguelike. And occasionally, just a mess of enemies, traps, and bad decisions happening very quickly. You’ll pick from a cast of weird little heroes, including a berserker or a saxophone-playing rat, and dive into runs full of hand-crafted rooms stitched together into something new every time.
You’ll dodge, slash, throw, flip, and panic your way through branching paths, escalating chaos, and bosses that absolutely do not care about your plans. Between runs, you’ll grab upgrades, stack ridiculous builds, and slowly turn yourself into a screen-clearing problem. Or you won’t. That happens too.
You can go it alone or bring a friend, locally or online, and figure it out together. Or blame each other. That’s part of the experience.
