Senior Producer

This is a remote opportunity based in North America.

SUMMARY

At Devolver Digital we work with a range of project types, developers, platforms, budgets and timelines. We know that no two games - or developers - are the same, so we adapt our approach to suit the needs of our projects and teams.

You’ll not only bring games into the world while learning and growing. The work that you do will also benefit the growth of our partner teams. You will “own” a number of projects and be responsible for them being successfully published.

To do this, you will work in collaboration with other Producers, Brand Managers and the team of Devolvers from across the world, touching all parts of the business.

ABOUT YOU

  • Game production experience (developer or publisher.)
  • Demonstrable record of creating and maintaining schedule and milestone documentation.
  • High proficiency in productivity and communications software, i.e. Slack, Asana, JIRA, Trello, Confluence.
  • A passion for playing games across diverse genres.
  • A strong knowledge of the video game marketplace and fundamental business models.
  • Self-starting, self-sufficient and disciplined.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Working with partners to manage the completion of games according to their contracts.
  • Working with partners to manage the creation of budget, schedule and milestone definitions.
  • Maintaining strong communications with partners to discuss project progress, concerns or changes etc. as well as business-level requirements.
  • Weekly check-ins with development partners on progress.
  • Communication and management of the Localisation process.
  • Helping developers collaborate with outsourced QA resources for a range of testing requirements.
  • Providing detailed notes and feedback on milestone submissions and checking against agreed criteria.
  • Monthly milestone approvals, including written reviews of deliverables and adjustments of budget and schedule where necessary.
  • Monthly review of financial forecasts.
  • Weekly updates of the Status tracking sheet and of the project within the Production team.
  • Providing the Production and wider Devolver team with pertinent information about the game content and timings to optimize its release.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identifying any ways to improve the delivery and/or content of the game and to work with various partners to weigh up the pros and cons of this potential change. This might include areas such as:
  • Working with first-party platforms both dev-side (i.e. product creation, release management and patching) and store-side (assets, metadata and localized text.)
  • Manage legal relationships with partners through from NDAs to contract amendments.
  • Help Devolver document as many processes as possible in order to share knowledge.
  • Support, challenge and improve our communication and production tools.

BONUS POINTS

  • Previous experience of working in other development disciplines, i.e. audio / design / QA.
  • Experience of game engines and workflow, i.e. Unity, Unreal, platform SDKs.
  • Awareness of game mechanics, balance, pacing and difficulty.
  • Technical skills, i.e. scripting, macros, python, tool programming.
  • Previous experience of representing games to consumers and press.
  • Experience working on GaaS LiveOps.
