Independent developer Cube Roots and the devastatingly handsome gents of Devolver Digital have announced a partnership to bring the puzzle/RPG hybrid Dungeon Hearts to PC, Mac, and mobile devices in early 2013. Cube Roots’ debut game features a nostalgic blend of classic RPG elements fused into a vibrant match-three puzzle game for a wholly unique experience.

As an indie it can be tough bringing your project to a publisher for fear they are going to strip away the developer’s personality from the final product,” said Cube Roots founder Chris Pavia. “It has been quite the opposite with the guys over at Devolver Digital, it’s been great working with people who embrace the weird and quirky.”

The partnership on Dungeon Hearts is the result of the Devolver Digital’s “Pitch Fork Parker” initiative launched at GDC 2012 and the first in a series of games signed by the publisher’s extraordinarily unreserved executive.

“The original pitch was for Dungeon Hearts to be medieval brothel simulator,” claimed Fork Parker, CFO of Devolver Digital, “I recommended we shift development towards the puzzle/RPG hybrid because medieval brothel simulators just don’t sell anymore.”

Devolver Digital has partnered with powerhouse mobile developer HotGen Ltd. to launch their massively successful game To-Fu: The Trials of Chi on Android devices through the Amazon App Store.

Android gamers will be able to take charge of the world’s most malleable hero as he gets ready to undertake the infamous ‘Trials of Chi’. Stretch, ping, stick and rebound our little hero through 150 levels of treacherous booby-traps and mystical mechanisms as you try to conquer the trials and help To-Fu become the illustrious Master of Chi.

Croteam and Mommy’s Best Games, in partnership with Devolver Digital and Mastertronic, have announced both Serious Sam 3: BFE and the retooled Serious Sam Double D XXL will launch on Xbox LIVE Arcade this fall.

Serious Sam 3: BFE will be delivered by series creator Croteam and feature all the fast-paced, brutal action Serious Sam fans love and take advantage of the deep online capabilities of Xbox LIVE Arcade’s online community.

“Serious Sam fans have been asking for Serious Sam 3: BFE to come to Xbox LIVE Arcade and we’re very excited to launch on the platform this fall,” said Roman Ribaric, CEO of developer Croteam. “All the high-octane action and over-the-top violence will be intact so Xbox LIVE Arcade gamers will get the full Serious Sam 3: BFE experience!”

On top of the original 18 campaign levels and 12 challenge maps Serious Sam Double D XXL is bursting forth with all-new features for Xbox LIVE Arcade like new campaign missions, new challenges, new enemies, Gunstacker upgrades, and a hot new two-player local cooperative mode.

Croteam and Devolver Digital have announced that fresh downloadable content for Serious Sam HD: The Second Encounter will hit the ol’ personal computer on May 15^th.  Grab a fistful of rockets and step into the blood-soaked shoes of Sam “Serious” Stone as he tracks down the mysterious ram-god of The Great Obelisk in an all-new chapter of the legendary series. The ‘Legend of the Beast’ DLC pack will cost a paltry US$4.99 and includes:

• Three New Campaign Missions
• Three New Chaotic Versus Mode Maps
• One New Brutal Survival Mode Map
